“25% off, plus an extra 10%!” sounds huge, but stacked discounts multiply instead of adding — and tax is usually charged on the discounted price. Enter the price, discounts and tax rate to see what you will actually pay and what you truly saved.

How it works

Discounts apply one after another: price after discounts = price × (1 − first discount) × (1 − extra discount). That is why 25% + 10% off equals 32.5% off, not 35%. Tax = discounted price × tax rate, and the final price = discounted price + tax.
