A density calculator built for lab work: switch between finding density, mass or volume, jump between g/cm³, kg/m³ and g/L, and start from common substance presets.

How it works: Everything rests on ρ = m ÷ V, rearranged as m = ρV or V = m ÷ ρ. The unit bridge to remember is 1 g/cm³ = 1,000 kg/m³ = 1,000 g/L. Presets are standard reference densities near room temperature (water 1,000 kg/m³, aluminium 2,700, gold 19,300) — real samples vary a little with temperature and purity, which is why chemists measure rather than assume.
