Every product has a tipping point: the number of sales that exactly covers all your costs. This calculator finds your break-even units and revenue from fixed costs, price and variable cost — and shows the profit waiting at the sales level you expect.

How it works

Contribution per unit = price − variable cost. Break-even units = fixed costs ÷ contribution per unit (rounded up, because you cannot sell part of a unit). Break-even revenue = break-even units × price. Profit at any level = units sold × contribution − fixed costs. The price must be higher than the variable cost, otherwise break-even is impossible.
