Whether you are selling, bringing in a partner, or just curious, a first-pass valuation helps you negotiate from numbers instead of feelings. This tool gives you the common profit-multiple method and a simple discounted cash-flow (DCF-lite) estimate side by side.

How it works

Multiple method: value = (annual profit × multiple) + assets − debts. Small private businesses often change hands at low single-digit multiples of profit; the right multiple depends on risk, growth and how dependent the business is on the owner. DCF-lite: each forecast year’s cash flow is grown by the growth rate, then discounted back at the discount rate, and the present values are added. Both are rough planning estimates, not a formal valuation.

Estimates only — not financial, tax, or professional advice. Figures depend entirely on the values you enter; confirm important decisions with a qualified professional.
